Obituary of Stephen J. Day

Stephen J. Day of Fishkill, NY (formerly of Oakdale, LI) died peacefully at his home, on Saturday, May 23, 2015 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Maria (nee Patitucci) and his loving daughter, Lisa Gallo both of Fishkill. He is the cherished grandfather of Matthew, Mackenze and Michael. Dear brother of Peter Day and Barbara Day Kelly and brother in law to Nancy Patitucci and Kim Day. He is also survived by his dear friends Michael Cardone and Donna Giansiracusa. Mr. Day was predeceased by his son, Jesse Day, his parents, James and Marilyn Day and a brother James Day, Jr. Before moving to Fishkill, Mr. Day was employed as a machinist with Davidson Aluminum in Deer Park, NY. In his spare time he enjoyed music, cooking, reading, raising tropical fish and was a fan of the NY Mets and Rangers. The family will receive friends during memorial visiting, Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 PM at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville.
