Dr. Friedman was a constant in my life. My entire family was his patient from the time he began his Amityville practice. I was seven years old when he first treated me in 1956, and 66 when I last saw him. He was a painless and excellent dentist, and I never felt any of the anxiety or fear of an upcoming dental visit that many other people have told me they had with their dentists. I will miss the friendly, informative conversations I had with him as he prepared to work on me, often mixed in with a joke or funny anecdote.
Thank-you, Dr. Friedman. You were the best. Thank-you.

My sympathies to all of his family as you get through this sad time. Having known him for 45 years (have not seen him in about 18), I have often thought of him. He was funny, so so kind and always there to take care of our pain. I am the oldest of 6 who all saw Dr. Friedman along with our cousins, another 6, the Romano Family. You request a funny story so here goes: Dr. Friedman came to my mom's funeral in 1996 to pay his respects to our family and I believe he saw most of us and missed 1 or 2. As he looked for them, and told the ones he missed he was there, they started to bob an weave through all the people to AVOID our ever so friendly gentle dentist like he was going to pull a tooth right there. It was so kind of him to remember US that day, as we miss him today along with you. He made you feel like family and so cared for. You had the run of the office, pick of a room, if available. He was just an amazing loving man. RIP, it has been hard to trust another dentist since him

My whole family went to dr. Friedman. There were 8 of us. I started going to him and Jackie when I was 5. I am now a mom of 3. As I got older I was scared because of my sensitive teeth. Him and Jackie had to schedule 4 different appointments to do my cleaning. But he always made me laugh. Love u dr. Friedman

B.K. was one of the first individuals I met when I first joined DMORT. I remember him as someone who was never afraid to ask a question and never afraid to offer an opinion. He was straight to the point but also knew how to formulate his question into a teachable moment for other people. His tenacity, his sense of humor and his never-ending willingness to be part of the team combined with his desire to always keep learning are things which I will always remember and are traits which we could all use more of. May God bless him for his job on earth as a good and faithful servant.

BK was a very special person, friend and my mentor. I will miss him greatly. He was my inspiration for becoming board certified in Forensic Dentistry and I never would have accomplished that if it weren't for his generosity, support and mentorship. The Medical Examiner's Office will never seem the same without his Friday ritual of bagels and coffee.

There is no better judge of a man's character than to reflect on the things he does to help others. As a DMORT team member his assistance was critical for the families who lost loved ones, as I'm sure the Friedman family knows all too well.
We offer you our deepest gratitude and condolences for the many years of service and sacrifice the Friedman family shared for those families in their time of need.
